NEW: Green Pin Open Long Wedge Sockets

Introducing the new Green Pin® Open Long Wedge Sockets to our large socket range.

Brierley Lifting Tackle are delighted to introduce the Open Long Wedge Socket with cotter pin and Open Long Wedge Socket with bolt and nut.

These sockets are equipped with a long wedge to which a Green Pin® Wire Rope Grip can be connected to hold the wire rope in place. To enhance safety further, the long wedge provides the possibility to verify whether the correct wire rope size is used, by using the ‘go’ and ‘no go’ holes.

NEW: Green Pin Swivel with Safety Bolt

We at Brierley Lifting would like to introduce the new Green Pin Jaw-Eye Swivel with Safety Bolt.

With rigging applications using both steel chains and wire ropes, Green Pin® is a leading brand for high quality swivels. The large Green Pin® swivel range has been incorporated into many industries including general lifting, aquaculture, subsea and construction.

The Green Pin® EJ G-7733 Swivel is the latest addition to the Green Pin® Swivel collection. This new swivel includes a jaw-eye featuring a safty bolt. The allows improved safety measures while allowing controlled rotation for positioning the load. The swivel is made from high tensile steel and can even be used under water! The size range of the Green Pin® swivel is grom WLL 0.6t to a 5.7t.

NEW: Green Pin Catch Shackle G-4163H

For a long time, the lifting industry has been looking for a solution to prevent the dropping of equipment and components from heights. Dropped objects are a well-known safety hazard in the industry and have led to numerous accidents. Green Pin® now offers a unique solution to this problem: The Green Pin® Catch shackle BN prevents the accidental dropping of shackle bolts, nuts, cotter pins and even complete shackles, thereby preventing injuries or deaths.

These innovative shackles have an attachment point on each individual component to connect them to a lanyard. The lanyards can then be securely fastened to something or someone, for example to a tool-belt that the rigger is wearing. Also, ease of use is guaranteed: the disc on the nut that enables tethering rotates independently from the nut itself, thereby not coiling the attached lanyard.

The Green Pin® Catch Shackle is supplied without any wiring so every user can choose their preferred method of securing the products. The Green Pin® Catch Shackle BN has been developed in cooperation with DROPS, the non-profit organization that is focused exclusively on dropped object prevention.

In addition to the tethering options, the shackle offers a double safety (split pin and safety bolt) which prevents accidental unscrewing of the pin. Long-term durability is assured due to the galvanization. Of course, the Green Pin® Catch Shackle BN conforms to a wide range of certifications from class societies such as DNV.

The Green Pin® Catch Shackle BN is suitable for both one-leg and multi-leg systems and is available in a range with a working load limit from 2 up to 9.5 ton.

NEW: ISO 3266:2010 – Forged steel eyebolts

Over the past few years, Brierley Lifting have been developing our Collared Eyebolt to conform with the new BS EN ISO 3266:2010 standard. After having the testing of material confirmed in Autumn 2020 (along with all the other requirements) have been offering them in our product range.

With the BS 4278:1984 being fully withdrawn by BSI Lifting Applications, we have the stock available to comply with the new standard.

Specially Made BS463 Sockets

This week we have completed a project for one of our bespoke BS463:1958 sockets. This 1.3/4″ specially made sockets has been tailored to our customers technical drawings.

Sockets are used as a connection to attach steel wire rope to a fixed point. This may be an anchoring system for tubes or pipes, anchor wires for dredging materials, anchor cables for oil platforms, fastening points for towing cables or for fastening cables in constructions such as bridges, roofs etc.

Sockets are the strongest steel wire rope end fittings available. Sockets are designed for in-line use only. If they are assembled in the proper way they meet or exceed the breaking strength of the steel wire rope.
